Volunteer
Volunteer in a way that actually helps.
FoBD needs different kinds of help. Some work happens on the hill. Some happens behind the scenes. Some takes a few hours outdoors. Some supports communication, membership, fundraising, data, partnerships, and coordination.

On the hill
Outdoor help should make the hill easier to care for.
Outdoor volunteering may include trail-care support, activity setup, clean-up, planting, biodiversity sessions, guided walks, documentation, or helping visitors understand responsible use.
Behind the scenes
Useful work also happens away from the trail.
Writing, design, photography, data entry, translation, admin, membership support, fundraising, research, coordination, and outreach can all help FoBD stay active and organized.

What makes a good volunteer
Good volunteers make the work lighter.
The most useful volunteers are reliable, realistic about their time, careful with information, respectful on the hill, and willing to help with the work that is actually needed.
Start with what you can offer
You do not need to do everything.
Tell FoBD what you can help with, how often you can realistically contribute, and whether you prefer outdoor, admin, communications, research, or event support.
